Venetian Blind repair

Very often venetian blinds will be bought online or at a store that basically fits the window space you need to fill, but have wooden or aluminium Slats leftover having let the blind down, and they stack up at the bottom of the blind and look unsitely. They can be easily removed by taking the plugs out of the bottom rail which would reveal a knotted piece of cord, untie that knot pull the cord back through,and take as many slats out as you need to. Then move the bottom rail up and cut off any surplus string, thread the cord back through the rail tie the knot again pull it tight, and replace plugs again.
